Chancellor Donette Chin-Loy Chang

As Chancellor of Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU), Donette Chin-Loy Chang has dedicated her career to helping others succeed. An accomplished communications strategist, philanthropist and TMU alumna, she has supported hundreds of students through scholarships, bursaries and wellbeing initiatives while championing education, equity and community impact.
With decades of experience in journalism, public affairs and strategic communications, Donette brings a unique perspective to conversations about leadership, purpose and giving back. As host of The Forefront: Next-gen generosity, she explores how generosity can create opportunities, strengthen communities and inspire the next generation.
