Building innovators for life

Congratulations to Technovation Toronto's team WisTree for winning the beginner division grand prize at the 2026 Technovation World Summit in Banglore. The top 5 teams in each age division of the global competition participated in the summit. Each team had to first run through the technical aspects of their projects with only the judges and then present their live pitches to the public. Technovation (external link) is a global tech education nonprofit organization.
Technovation (external link) allows girls across the world to use technology to solve problems in their lives and their community. While the program is competitive, it encourages girls to collaborate, build community, and reflect on their learning journey.
The global Technovation challenge is changing for the 2027 season. There will be a whole new registration platform, new submisison guidelines, increased options for digital project types and there will be a pilot for a co-ed stream. Stay tuned!
The Toronto Chapter
Our Toronto chapter covers the greater Toronto area. We help the girls form teams, connect them with mentors, and host workshops and other events to support everyone throughout the Technovation challenge. (external link) Check out our Girls page for more details about the program.
For the 2027 season, we are running the program in a hybrid format, with online sessions for discussing content, and in-person sessions for teams to work together. Our chapter is not part of the co-ed pilot, so will be supporting girls for the 2027 season.
Technovation is revising their curriculum and submission guidelines. We will post links to the updated information when everything is available.
