Creators: Kale Bautista and Heidi Ning
Space: Studio 3
This piece is meant to explore the audience's use of instincts and assumptions through visual indications and audio when audience members are exposed to two slightly contrasting stagnant scenes at the same time. Audience members will be asked to interact with the pieces, leaving sticky notes on the mirror behind outlining words that describe the feelings the audience members create in their minds through assumption. Audio will change each night; however, the sticky notes from nights prior will stay, allowing different interpretations to be explored without the proper context.
Ambition and Its Consequences
Creator: Nikita Siopis
Space: Crossover
“Ambition and Its Consequences” allows viewers to step into a rendition of Victor Frankenstein’s laboratory, a space caught between devotion and desecration. At its center lies the body of the Creature, a reflection of Victor’s relentless ambition and his failure to understand the cost of playing god. This piece explores how obsession can twist invention into monstrosity, and how the desire to create life can just as easily destroy it. Through props, scenery, lighting and sound, this installation showcases Victor's usage of science and faith, and exposes how the pursuit of greatness can distort both maker and creation, asking what remains once the experiment is over.

You Can't Play Forever
Creator: Chatham Bruno-Jackson
Space: Studio 2
You Can't Play Forever is my interpretation of the themes of childhood and “othering” in Frankenstein. I felt most inspired by the monster’s desire to fit in and his connection to Victor as his father. Throughout our process in class I developed this work through past interpretations of Frankenstein as well as my own interest with the themes I felt drawn to. I'm extremely excited to share my first fully curated work with everyone!
