Kate Hilliard (she/her) is an artist, curator, and educator. Her performance research blends gestural movement language with improvisation, spoken word, writing, and digital media. Kate's performances have been commissioned and presented in Canada, the US, Mexico, Australia, and Germany. She is Artistic Director for Arts Orillia where she fosters creative residencies and programs for Canadian artists and audiences. Hilliard has taught at Toronto Metropolitan University since 2015. She studied Art History at The University of Toronto and holds an MFA from the University of Plymouth through the Transart Institute.
