Why Digital Media?
My journey began far from Canada, where I had comfortably settled in my career for a few years in Vietnam. I never thought I would decide to become an MDM student in the heart of Toronto. As a designer, I always saw myself as a creative spirit, not a tech or digital person – until the pandemic shook things up. I found myself joining a digital transformation project at my previous company, and that’s when everything changed. It opened my eyes to how rapidly technology and AI are advancing. I realized that the world wouldn’t wait for me to remain in my comfort zone, especially when I had previously feared new technologies and AI rather than embraced and learned from them.
Deciding to immerse myself in the Digital Media field was a turning point in my life - a challenge I accepted with curiosity and a desire to transform myself into a newer version. As the saying goes, ""Every journey begins with a single step."" I took that first step out of my comfort zone with the MDM program, and I’m eager to see how I evolve throughout this journey.
