Biography
Selina Wong is a multimedia creative with a passion for visual storytelling across various mediums, including photography, video, and computer graphics.
Her creative journey began with photography before shifting her focus to moving images. One of her animation works, Fruit Market, is a stop-motion video in which she photographed and edited images of her hometown - Hong Kong’s Yau Ma Tei Fruit Market into dynamic abstract sequences. The piece was shortlisted in several animation festivals such as Kuandu International Animation Festival, and FILE Festival. Expanding her creative exploration, she delved into digital world-building in her 3D short film, The Womb Was A Tomb, which addresses feminist themes.
As a self-motivated artist, Selina continuously her creative skill sets. She strives for proficiency in multiple mediums and always challenges herself to adopt new creative expressions.
Why Digital Media?
Coming from a 3D background, Selina hopes to extend her skills to related fields such as AR/VR and game development. She believes the future digital media landscape will shift its focus towards virtual production.
Digital Media not only offers a space for multimedia experimentation that aligns with her diverse creative interests but also remains updated with industry trends.
