Biography
A cross-cultural professional bridging Japanese studies and technology, Jariwan discovered her passion for human-centered solutions while earning her Bachelor's in Japanese with a minor in Information Management from Silpakorn University. Her perspective was shaped by a year at Tokyo Gakugei University, where she observed societal challenges in both Japan and her native Thailand, sparking her interest in innovative solutions.
Post-graduation, Jariwan transitioned into the tech sector, embracing multiple roles from product owner to designer at a startup. Her adaptability and holistic understanding of technology and design drive meaningful impact. She extends her expertise through collaboration with the Thai Government on user experience research initiatives, working alongside the UX design community to improve public services.
What sets Jariwan apart is her unique blend of cultural sensitivity and technical versatility. She thrives on navigating complex problems and pushing boundaries in user experience and product development.
Why Digital Media?
I chose the Master of Digital Media program for its unique blend of technology and design, rather than focusing solely on one discipline. This interdisciplinary approach provides me with a fresh perspective on digital media's role in today's world. What makes MDM particularly valuable is the diversity of my classmates, who come from various professional backgrounds - from software development to visual arts, marketing to UX design. Their different perspectives and expertise enhance my learning experience, helping me understand concepts in ways I wouldn't have considered from my own professional standpoint.
