Biography

Bhavya is currently based in Toronto, fully immersed in her studies in UX Design to further elevate her design journey. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Industrial Design from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where she specialized in physical product design. With over five years of experience crafting tangible solutions, Bhavya has now transitioned her focus towards the dynamic field of UX Design.

Passionate about creating seamless and meaningful user experiences, Bhavya draws on her rich background in physical product design. She believes in the transformative power of design, from enabling someone to hear for the first time to connecting people through the innovative device we know as the mobile phone. Her inspiration comes from her surroundings, embracing diverse cultures and solving everyday challenges people encounter.

When she's not working on design projects, Bhavya enjoys exploring the vibrant coffee shop scene, meeting new people and adding a touch of uniqueness to every user-centric experience

Why Digital Media?

Toronto Metropolitan University’s Master of Digital Media program stands out to me because of its interdisciplinary approach that combines design, technology, and hands-on problem-solving. The program offers a collaborative environment where I can engage with students from diverse backgrounds, gaining fresh perspectives that will enrich my design process. Additionally, the emphasis on practical projects and real-world challenges aligns with my goal of creating user-centered, impactful solutions. TMU’s strong industry connections, and the opportunity to work with experienced faculty make it the ideal place for me to advance my career in UX design and explore the intersection of design and technology.
