Biography

Alex believes in the power of education. Being the first person in his family to get a Bachelor’s Degree and a College Diploma has taught Alex the importance of appropriate, timely, and experiential learning. Currently, Alex is working in higher education, supporting The Faculty of Media, Creative Arts & Design, and also teaches at Humber Polytechnic. Through his educational tour brand (@BeardedProf416), Alex delivers tours, lectures, classes, and private experiences to a variety of demographics: from university students, to middle-school field trips, to retired academics, industry professionals, and destination marketing organizations. Alex has a unique ability to tell stories that engage and teach people how to learn and how to connect in a productive and surprising way with their surroundings.

Why Digital Media?

I believe that there is something about digital devices and the Internet-Of-Things that can go beyond just the basic styles of learning and connecting to other people. I want to be there to deliver and teach the ideas of how we should move forward as a society.
