Biography

Reya Shreya Rai is an Indigenous feminist from Nepal with a background in Journalism and Media Communications. She is passionate about digital storytelling and promoting digital awareness. In her free time, Reya enjoys reading philosophical and contemporary fiction(any and every fiction), and she has a deep appreciation for all forms of art.

Why Digital Media?

As an Indigenous feminist from Nepal with a background in journalism and media communications, I was naturally drawn to digital media because of its power to democratize storytelling. Growing up, I saw how traditional media often excluded voices like mine. Digital platforms, on the other hand, offer the freedom to challenge dominant narratives, amplify marginalized perspectives, and make space for stories that otherwise go unheard. Its also a vast creative platform to express ourselves in many ways and forms.
