Brianne (MDM 6.0) Breakfast Television Toronto!
"I left MDM with the following goals: to captivate audiences, inspire people who look like me, and bring about positive change in the spaces I inhabit.
Since then, I have contributed to a number of projects that I’m proud of. After graduating, I was hired at Maple Leafs Sports & Entertainment as a Marketing & Social Content Coordinator for the company’s retail and F&B brands. There, I tapped into my creative and strategic talents to direct photoshoots, develop COVID digital content strategies, and source new talent - like Alexis Eke, who designed the Toronto Raptors 2020 playoff apparel collection. Working with a team of four, I also took lead on creating a Black Lives Matter digital framework that is now used internally as a guide to shape the Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Raptors, Toronto FC, Toronto Marlies, and Toronto Argonauts BLM-related digital content.
While working at MLSE, I continued to freelance write, publishing a short story called “Flour and Sugar and Milk” in UNQUIET, a zine by March For Our Lives. The story follows a young Black woman’s disjointed thoughts as she struggles to process an unwarranted encounter with the police.
Now, I work as a Content Producer for Breakfast Television. The first segment I produced was about the controversial Meghan and Harry interview with Oprah. I hope to keep the momentum going and help tell stories that captivate, inspire, and bring about positive change." - Brianne, MDM 6.0
