Freida Wang's Passage/Parting is an exhibition with installation elements that explores the transitory state of being and the inability to truly communicate the experiences of the self to another being, limited by the means of language and the individuality of perspective. Confronting what it means to exist through gestural movements and the photographic medium and attempting to reconcile the chaos of our own lone existence, the exhibition questions perspective while yearning to make peace with the unknown.
Lin Duperron’s Pandæmonium explores the Catholic Church's doctrines. The observations are based on Catholicism in rural Québec, where that religion structured life from baptism to death and is centered on a heritage of suffering and sacramentalism. "Pandæmonium" is the release from bondage, the expulsion of anger, sorrow and shame. Pandæmonium is letting go and moving into the realms of freedom, joy and creative expression.
