Naomi Jaye

Naomi Jaye is a filmmaker and installation artist recognized for her cinematic scale, unconventional storytelling, and striking visual execution. Her latest feature Darkest Miriam, executive produced by Charlie Kaufman, premiered at the 2024 Tribeca Film Festival, earning multiple Best Director awards and six Canadian Screen Award nominations. Her debut feature, The Pin, received widespread critical acclaim. Through her company, Tremendous Productions, Naomi collaborates with major arts institutions to create large-scale video installations. Recent projects include Miriam’s World at Theatre Passe Muraille and The Water Series, in partnership with Harbourfront Centre. Her work is regularly supported by the Canada Council for the Arts, Ontario Arts Council, and Toronto Arts Council. An alumna of TIFF Studio, Berlinale Talents, and Torino Film Lab, she is currently developing two new works: I’ve Found Her, a feature film about a woman in search of her future self, and Slow, an installation exploring aging and Parkinson’s disease.
