Our values of equity, diversity and inclusion are reflected in our Academic Plan and in our strategic priorities, which include the recruitment and retention of highly qualified academic staff from historically and persistently underrepresented groups. In the same spirit, our new RFA Collective Agreement has strengthened the commitment to EDI and now requires the appointment of equity advocates in hiring and evaluation committees.

Recognizing that EDI should not be an afterthought and requires an intentional and a well developed approach, this session brings together insights from experienced DHC members and partners from OVPECI and HR who have shown a commitment to advancing EDI at Ryerson. We will review important EDI considerations and best practices in order to attract and recruit candidates from equity-deserving groups into faculty positions at Ryerson.
