Intersectional Salary Evaluation

(Survey for RFA Faculty Members)
April 27, 2021

Dear RFA colleagues,

We are writing as members of the Joint Committee (made up of members of the Ryerson Faculty Association and Ryerson University) on Intersectional Salary Analysis based on gender and race.

Over the last few months, the Joint Committee has been engaged in discussions and work to better understand and improve areas in the University’s pay structure that might have anomalies based on the social identities of gender and race.

To this end, the committee has engaged Datassist, a data science firm in Toronto, to conduct a brief survey. The data collected will only be seen by Datassist and will only be used by them to complement and enhance the data already received by Ryerson.

The link to the general details of the survey and the survey itself is below.

There are only three questions and the survey should take you less than a minute to complete.

We encourage all colleagues to fill out the survey by Monday, May 10, 2021 so that the analysis can continue as expeditiously as possible.

Thank you from the Joint Committee on Intersectional Salary Analysis.
