The Migrant Integration Policy Index (MIPEX) is a global benchmarking tool that assesses integration policies in over 50 countries across key domains, including labour market mobility, education, health, political participation, and anti-discrimination. Developed by the Migration Policy Group (MPG), MIPEX provides policymakers, researchers, and civil society organizations with valuable insights into how national policies support—or hinder—the integration of immigrants.
In the 2024 edition, Canada scored 81/100, maintaining its position as 4th globally, following Sweden, Portugal, and Finland. This event will present Canada’s updated results, highlight both progress and persistent challenges, and provide a platform for discussion on the future of immigrant integration policies in Canada.
