The pandemic highlighted the essential contributions of immigrants to society and the economy, while also bringing to light specific challenges. It has also accelerated the socio-economic and political transformation underway as a result of new technologies. The Bridging Divides research program aims to produce innovative and practical knowledge by exploring the relationship between Advanced Digital Technologies and immigrant integration in Canada and beyond.  How will these technologies impact service provision, reorganize work, and change the way immigrants participate in civil society?

Bridging Divides brings together an interdisciplinary team from four partner universities – Toronto Metropolitan University, Concordia University, University of Alberta, University of British Columbia – to answer these pressing questions.

Immigration is a key component of Canada’s strategy for post-pandemic recovery and future growth.
