Mohammad Faizus Salehin is a first-year MA student in the Department of Economics at Toronto Metropolitan University. His thesis investigates how different immigrant categories and settlement patterns influence housing demand and supply in Canadian markets. He is also examining the roles of regional housing policies and broader macroeconomic factors in shaping affordability. With a background in engineering (B.Sc. in Civil Engineering and M.Sc. in Transportation Engineering), Mohammad brings expertise in quantitative modeling, econometric analysis, and field research. Beyond academics, he works as an independent day trader and volunteers with a non-profit Saturday Tutoring Program, where he supports students in mathematics. In his free time, he enjoys playing table tennis and volleyball.
