Maliheh Nouri is a PhD student in Urban Health at Toronto Metropolitan University and a researcher with Bridging Divides. Before starting her doctoral studies, Maliheh worked as an urban designer and planner in a variety of contexts and also taught in higher education.
Her professional and academic work over the past decade has largely focused on the quality of urban & rural, and park landscapes. She works on people's well-being, satisfaction, happiness, anxiety levels, and resilience in urban areas. Her broader research interests include place attachment, place identity, and urban green spaces. Beginning this Fall at TMU, she will explore the mental health impacts of urban landscapes on immigrants.
