Emilie Thibault-Beland

Emilie Thibault-Beland is a Master’s student in the Immigration and Settlement Studies program at Toronto Metropolitan University. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from York University and a certificate in Human Resources from Toronto Metropolitan University. She has spent the past 4 years working in the public sector, observing the gaps and challenges immigrants face in Toronto. Emilie’s current research focuses on questions of national identity. She is seeking to gain a deeper understanding of contemporary public sentiment toward immigration in Canada.
