Build a Bridge Final Showcase and Awards Ceremony

Join the Bridging Divides program for the Final Showcase and Awards Ceremony of the Build a Bridge Program and Competition 2026, where student teams present AI-driven Minimum Viable Products (MVP) designed to address urgent challenges in immigrant integration.

Over the past several months, participants from Toronto Metropolitan University, Concordia University, University of Alberta, and University of British Columbia have completed hands-on training, collaborated across disciplines, and developed practical digital tools aimed at removing barriers in three key areas:

• Mental Health and Wellbeing

• Employment and Lifelong Learning

• Place, Infrastructure, Citizenship, and Participation

Now, finalist teams will present their solutions to an online and in-person audience at the Global Migration Institute.

Three awards will be presented, for the best MVP developed in each of the three focus areas. Each winning team will receive up to $4,000 ($1,000 per team member).
