Faculty and alumni from The Creative School take home 11 Canadian Screen Awards

Nominees selected for Best Sound Design to Best Motion Picture

Faculty and alumni of The Creative School stood out at this year's Canadian Screen Awards, earning dozens of nominations and securing a total of 11 wins. Each year, the Canadian Screen Awards celebrates the country’s top talent in the film, television and digital sectors. At this year's event, alumni and faculty from both the RTA School of Media and the School of Image Arts received multiple nominations and wins, including for the 2023 sci-fi horror film, Infinity Pool

Written and directed by IMA Film alum Brandon Cronenberg and produced by IMA Film alums Karen Harnisch and Andrew Cividino, Infinity Pool received an impressive 11 nominations and took home two awards, including Achievement in Make-Up and Achievement in Visual Effects.

Following a couple as they venture outside the resort grounds and into a world of horrors beyond comprehension, Infinity Pool is a genre-bending feature film that’s the result of daring storytelling and creative collaboration. From its innovative filming locations to its stunning cinematography, production design, and special effects, the film aims to captivate audiences with its bold, daring and unexpected approach.
