‘The Creative School at Toronto Metropolitan University is introducing Creative School Pro: a new upskilling workshop series to help professionals enhance, upgrade, or change their careers. The Creative School Pro will offer intensive workshops led by industry experts, tailored to equip working professionals and recent graduates with critical, creative, and business skills essential for thriving in fields such as digital entertainment, Gaming, VFX, Film & Television, and beyond.

For over seven decades, The Creative School has been developing a toolkit to influence the industry, spearhead change, and empower the future. Entrepreneurship, innovation and creative problem-solving are at the centre of that,” said Dean Charles Falzon. “That's why we are introducing The Creative School Pro. Staying ahead means more than just keeping up with trends—it requires proactive engagement with the professional community and a keen responsiveness to industry changes and needs.”

This initiative is aimed at fostering continuous learning and skill enhancement within the creative sphere. These initial intensive workshops will provide students with in-demand skills that are sought after in the job market and trending within the industry. Workshops are designed as short, intensive, experiential learning sessions led by seasoned professionals within the creative sector.

“Creative School Pro provides precisely what the industry needs: rapid and effective upskilling, allowing professionals to gain the practical skills required to update their talent and careers,” said Dr. Michael Carter, Director of Creative School Pro and Creative Industry Veteran.

Delivered virtually during weekday evenings, Pro workshops are flexible and accessible to participants' busy schedules. Each workshop series has four sub-workshops, each spanning 16 hours.
