OSAP Processing Dates
Find out how to check your Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) application status and review current document processing times at TMU.
All Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) documents must be uploaded directly to your OSAP portal (external link) for review. For the security of your data, we don't accept documents in person, by mail or by email. OSAP document processing time varies depending on the type of document.
To check the status of your OSAP application, log on to your OSAP portal (external link) and click “Check Status.” In this part of your portal, you’ll find out:
- If your application has been processed
- If you have any outstanding documents you need to provide
- If you or your school have to provide information
- How much money you’ll get
- When your money will be disbursed
Your OSAP Message Centre also provides information and status updates related to your application. Please check it regularly. You're responsible for monitoring your application and all communications.
It takes about 3 to 6 weeks from your date of submission to process OSAP documents, with slightly longer than normal processing times during peak periods (September, January, May).
Once your documents have been reviewed, you'll receive a status update through your OSAP Message Centre.
