Jenn Tan (she/her) is a Chinese-Canadian actor and artist raised in Guelph, and now based in Toronto. She is curious about how the unspoken narratives that exist in people manifest in their actions. She aims to share her research and evoke the emotional responses of those narratives through her storytelling.

During her time at XU, Jenn has had the privilege of working with some of Canada’s top theatre practitioners such as Jennifer Wigmore, Marianne McIsaac, Tim Welham, Siobhan Richardson, Nicola Correia-Damude, Cole Lewis and Lisa Karen-Cox. It is there that she found great joy in originating the role of Katharina in Untamed, a new play by Eva Barrie, in partnership with Tarragon Theatre.

Outside of XU, Jenn is workshopping the role of Echo in ECHO by Kole Durnford, which is set to premiere this Spring, in the Terra Firma Festival at The Theatre Centre.

Jenn is immensely grateful for the love and support she has received on her journey to finding her voice. She would like to thank those people for their time and energy. She is both excited and nervous for the growth that will come from being thrust into this ever- changing industry.
