Katarina Fiallos (She/Her) is a Nicaraguan-Canadian actor raised in Ottawa and now based in Toronto. Her love of performing began at a very young age and has evolved from a pipe dream to a career. She wishes to tell stories of a wide variety and ensure a diversity of voices in film and theatre.

Throughout the last four years at XU, Katarina has had the privilege to work with some of Canada’s leading theatre practitioners such as Jennifer Wigmore, Nicola Correia-Damude, Ivan Sherry, Tim Welham, and Lisa Karen-Cox. This program has also given her the opportunity to work with directors outside of Canada such as Elizabeth Dinkova and Iqbal Khan. One of her greatest joys during her time at theatre school was originating the role of Bianca in Eva Barrie’s Untamed, in partnership with Tarragon Theatre.

Outside of school, Katarina has been training in singing with Yoriko Tanno and has been workshopping her new play Morning After which is set to premiere in the New Voices Festival in 2022.

Katarina is filled with gratitude for all those who supported her thus far and is eager to see what lies ahead.
