Debashis Sinha Awarded the Louis Applebaum Composers Award
On February 27th, 2023 The Ontario Arts Foundation and Ontario Arts Council announced that Performance Production Faculty Member Debashis Sinha is the 2023 recipient of the Louis Applebaum Composers Award (external link) . The award recongnizes excellence for a body of work in the field of composition for media.
Performance extends a deeply heartfelt congratulations to Debashis on this well deserved recongition, we are beyond privileged to have him as a part of our faculty.
I am thrilled to be the Applebaum composer’s award laureate for 2023, this year focusing on composition for media. I’m very grateful to have had the support of my family and community in so many tangible and intangible ways, allowing me to develop and explore over the years. Here’s to many more days of strange and beautiful sounds.
