On behalf of the NIPM/OSD Planning Circle, we warmly invite you to join us in celebrating Mzawe Kiing Anishinaabek Giizis (National Indigenous Peoples Month) at Toronto Metropolitan University.
What to expect
We are pleased to begin this year’s programming with a virtual kick-off event on June 1, marking a meaningful time of recognition, reflection, and celebration of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples, cultures, and contributions.
June is Mzawe Kiing Anishinaabek Giizis / National Indigenous Peoples Month at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU), a time to honour and celebrate the rich cultures, histories, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit and Métis Peoples.
Please join us virtually in honouring Indigenous voices, experiences and achievements. Let’s celebrate this month together in a good way!
About the organizers/team
This event is organized by a collective of Indigenous and non-Indigenous colleagues, led by Crystal Osawamick, Manager of Indigenous Events and Special Projects and others from the National Indigenous Peoples Month Planning Circle.
