Join us at Toronto Metropolitan University as we kick off Mzawe Kiing Anishinaabek Giizis (National Indigenous Peoples Month) with a vibrant Indigenous Arts & Craft Market celebrating the creativity, culture, and entrepreneurship of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis artists and makers.
What to expect
This special event will feature:
- Handmade beadwork, jewelry, and textiles
- Indigenous visual art and prints
- Traditional and contemporary crafts
- Indigenous-owned small businesses
Meet talented Indigenous artists, learn about their creative processes, and support local Indigenous entrepreneurs. This market is an opportunity to honour the rich histories, cultures, and contributions of Indigenous Peoples while fostering meaningful engagement within the TMU and broader Toronto community.
The event is free and open to students, staff, faculty, and community members.
Come celebrate, shop with purpose, and help us launch National Indigenous Peoples Month in a good way.

This event is organized by a collective of Indigenous and non-Indigenous colleagues, led by Crystal Osawamick, manager of Indigenous events and special projects and others from the National Indigenous Peoples Month Planning Circle.
