What to expect

In this conversation, Gabrielle McMann, a recent TMU School of Journalism graduate, will share her experiences as a young woman navigating colonial systems that don’t reflect traditional Indigenous values. She will discuss her advocacy for better coverage of Indigenous stories and offer insights on what people who work in and enjoy media can do to account for past mistakes and ensure future wise practice. Gabby’s presentation will be followed by a Q & A.
