Creative Industries (opens in new window) graduate Brandon Schwartz is celebrating a milestone year on Broadway with three major productions and two Tony Award nominations. His latest show, Glengarry Glen Ross (external link, opens in new window) , premiered at the Palace Theatre and earned a nomination for Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role. This marks Schwartz’s third Broadway credit; he also produced Maybe Happy Ending (external link, opens in new window) , which received 10 Tony nominations including Best Musical, and Our Town (external link, opens in new window) , which was nominated for Best Revival of a Play. Reflecting on his path from TMU to Broadway, Schwartz credits both classroom learning and hands-on experience as key to shaping his creative practice. “The creative organizations you can engage with off campus are an invaluable complement to what you're learning every day on campus,” he says.
