Information for Learners

Yusuf Ahmed has made an appointment with a social worker at a community health centre outside of his own local community. He feels that his good luck and fortune have run out. Circumstances seem to conspire against him. Everyone around him places demands on him. They want him to be something he is not sure he wants to be. A close friend suggested seeing a counsellor as an objective third party perspective may provide Yusuf with some clarity, support and help. The idea of counseling is new and foreign to Yusuf.
