Selecting a Simulation Scenario
The LAS Catalogue contains over 100 scenarios and interactive workshops designed to meet a broad range of learning, teaching, and professional development objectives. Before you select and book your simulation, you may wish to consider the following questions.
What learning outcomes are the participants expected to achieve?
Is there a particular issue/subject to be addressed? (i.e., teamwork, absenteeism in the workplace, diversity, etc.)
What skill practice(s) should be emphasized? (interviewing, critical thinking and analysis, mediation, etc.)
Is there a simulation in the catalogue to fit these needs or do you require a consultation to discuss customization?
Booking an Existing Simulation Scenario
Once you’ve selected the appropriate scenario from the LAS Catalogue fill out the Simulation Request Form to send us a preliminary booking request. Once we’ve processed your request one of our trainers will consult with you to:
- Confirm the details of your booking (date, time, etc.)
- Clarify your learning objectives
- Discuss any changes or modifications to the simulation scenario
- Determine the focus for feedback
- Provide any additional support you may require
Booking a Custom Simulation Scenario
If you can't find a scenario or you want to tweak an existing scenario, you can request a custom simulation to fit your needs. Fill out the Simulation Request Form to send us a preliminary booking request and indicate that you require a custom simulation where prompted. Once we’ve processed your request one of our trainers will consult with you to:
- Confirm the details of your booking (date, time, etc.)
- Clarify your learning objectives
- Discuss the custom request or any modifications an existing simulation scenario
- Determine the focus for feedback
- Provide any additional support you may require
