Andrew (Hyounsoo) Kim is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at Toronto Metropolitan University and a licensed clinical psychologist in Ontario. He holds a Canada Research Chair (Tier II) in Addictions and Mental Health Comorbidity. He has published over 140 peer-reviewed publications and has been awarded over $4 million in research funding. His research and clinical expertise is in the co-occurrence of addictions (substance and behavioural) and mental health as well as examining transdiagnostic mechanisms of substance and behavioural addictions. Andrew's research contributions have been recognized through several recognitions and awards including being named a top 10 Early Career Clinical Psychology Researcher in Canada, and a Rising Star by the Association for Psychological Science. He has also received the President’s New Researcher Award by the Canadian Psychological Association and the Early Career Researcher Award from the International Society for the Study of Behavioral Addiction.
