Ripomatic Masterclass

Jim Fredrick’s Ripomatic Masterclass

Crafting the First Cut That Sells the Movie

CSPro in Partnership with the RTA School of Media & the Masters of Arts in Media Production is offering a masterclass on Thursday, February 5th from 2 - 5pm @ The Creative School's Rogers Communication Center.

This three-hour, intimate workshop offers advanced insight into the creative and strategic use of ripomatics in Film & Television development. Led by Clio Award–winning trailer editor, studio marketing executive, and tenured film professor Jim Fredrick, the session demystifies how ripomatics function within studios as decision-making tools — shaping creative direction, aligning stakeholders, and accelerating greenlight conversations.

Drawing on decades of senior leadership experience at Castle Rock Entertainment, Warner Bros., and Sony Screen Gems, working on Hollywood blockbusters such as The Harry Potter franchise, The Shawshank Redemption, and A Few Good Men. Jim Fredrick provides participants with studio-level frameworks rarely accessible outside professional marketing departments. The workshop emphasizes editorial thinking, narrative intention, and strategic clarity over software instruction, positioning ripomatics as creative prototypes rather than promotional artifacts.

Designed for emerging producers and advanced creatives, the session prioritizes depth, discussion, and real-world application within a deliberately limited cohort.
