Creative Industries alum and 2023 Valedictorian Imani Dominique Busby is gaining national and international recognition for her community-driven ventures in the arts and music industries.

Her leadership was also profiled in the Canadian Urban Institute’s  (PDF file) Let’s Talk About Placemaking (external link, opens in new window)  as a model for cultural entrepreneurship and inclusive city-building. Through purpose-driven innovation, Busby’s work is redefining the future of Canada’s creative economy. “Arts entrepreneurship, placemaking, and community-building are at the core of my curatorial practice. It’s an honour to have been included alongside inspiring spaces, people, and organizations across the country. Community First,” Busby says.
