SWEAT is an adaptation of the Zora Neale Hurston short story, and continues the story. A 1920s washerwoman Delia Jones stands over her dead husband. The snake that killed him is talking, and his ghost won't leave. What becomes possible when Delia connects to the magic in her blood and finds the power in the dirt beneath her feet?

Performance at The Creative School and Tarragon Theatre collaborate on two workshop projects which support the development of new work, featuring the 2027 graduating class of Performance: Acting. Students will present these exciting new projects at Tarragon’s historic theatre in Toronto’s west end.
