Gender-Affirmation Financial Support

As a TMU student, you’re automatically signed up for the TMSU Student Benefits Plan (external link) . This plan is run by GreenShield Canada and helps cover the cost of gender-affirming care that isn’t covered by provincial insurance.

To use this benefit, you’ll need a diagnosis of gender dysphoria from a doctor or nurse practitioner. Beyond gender-affirmation coverage, your plan includes prescription drugs, mental health and extended health benefits to support your overall wellbeing.
