Student Groups and Spaces

These student-run groups and spaces are here to help you meet new people and find your place on campus.

Centre for Women & Trans People

The Centre for Women & Trans People (external link)  is one of the Equity Service Centres of the Toronto Metropolitan University Students’ Union. We work with the TMU community to fight sexism and transmisogyny, both on and off campus. We do this through education, advocacy initiatives and campaigns, and by offering a drop-in space for you as a student. You’ll also find social events throughout the year for women, trans-identifying students and community members.

Lincoln OUTlaws

The Lincoln OUTlaws (external link)  student club is for 2SLGBTQIA+ students in the Lincoln Alexander School of Law. We offer community, support, and connection with other queer and trans students.

TMSU Queer Space

The Queer Space (external link)  is part of the Equity Service Centres at the Toronto Metropolitan University Students’ Union (TMSU). We work with you and the TMU community to challenge queerphobia, transphobia, heterosexism and cissexism, both on and off campus. We do this through education, advocacy and campaigns, and by offering a drop-in space for you as a student. We also host social events throughout the year for queer and trans students and community members.

Trans Collective

The Trans Collective (external link)  is one of the Equity Service Centres of the TMSU. We provide peer support, workshops, and community spaces to support the dignity and wellness of 2STNB+ students at TMU. We have drop-in co-working (and hang-out) sessions, as well as drop-in office hours for peer support and resource navigation. Follow @transcollective.tmsu on Instagram (external link)  for our times and events.
