Paul Hunter has been a CBC reporter for more than 25 years, reporting on numerous major events, including the Haiti earthquake, Barack Obama’s first election night and the Sandy Hook shootings in Newtown, Connecticut. Previous to being assigned to CBC’s Washington, D.C. bureau in 2008, Paul held postings in Great Britain, the Middle East and Afghanistan, where he was embedded with Canadian forces. He currently serves as one of the substitute anchors for CBC News — The National.
