Sid Naidu uses the camera to tell stories at the intersections of culture and change. As a photojournalist and creative entrepreneur, he builds and manages social impact projects to strengthen the representation of underserved communities and amplify untold stories.
Through his creative agency, SNCD Studio, he supports civic institutions, non-profits and cultural brands with media production, digital marketing and grant fundraising. Naidu has been championing Toronto’s east end for over five years through the Scarborough Made Artist Collective. The social impact initiative, which focuses on documentary storytelling, public art and creative employment for BIPOC youth, has raised more than $250K for arts, culture and economic development.
His photography and journalistic approach to storytelling has been published in Complex Canada, the Globe and Mail, The Narwhal and PhotoED Magazine. For 2024, Naidu is launching “Change Made,” a new platform which focuses on storytelling for change and capacity building in local communities.
