Mark Blinch is a sports photographer and photojournalist based in Toronto. He is currently the team photographer for the Toronto Maple Leafs, as well as a contract photographer for the NHL, NBA and Getty Images. He has covered seven Olympic Games, including the recent Paris summer games. Other notable events include the NBA Finals, Stanley Cup Championships, Masters Golf Tournament and the World Series-Final Four.
Blinch has been internationally recognized for his work in the U.S., including World Press Photo, Pictures of the Year International and National Press Photographers Association; and in Canada by the National Newspaper Awards and the News Photographer Association of Canada.

As a photographer, I always always try to simplify my job by coming away from an event with a few photos that represent what really happened there, and secondly, try to find photographs that convey mood and in-between moments as well.
