Toronto Metropolitan University is proud to invite alumni from the classes of 1950, 1955, 1960 1965, 1970, 1975, 1980, 1985, 1990, 1995, 2000 and 2005 to a special on-campus reunion celebrating your milestone anniversaries.
This half-day gathering offers a chance to reunite with classmates, reminisce about your university experience, and mark this special milestone together.

Keynote Address: “The Power of Media and Democracy”
Presenter: Martin Regg Cohn, Toronto Star columnist and founder of TMU Democracy Forum
How do we protect democracy in a world of growing populism and polarization? In this engaging keynote,Toronto Star political columnist and TMU Senior Fellow Martin Regg Cohn explores the vital role of the media in empowering citizens, challenging misinformation, and strengthening democratic values.
Martin Regg Cohn is a political columnist for the Toronto Star, Canada’s largest daily newspaper, where he focuses on domestic and international issues. A foreign correspondent for 11 years, he ran the Star’s Middle East and Asia bureaus, reporting from more than 40 countries — ranging from Afghanistan to Yemen. He was also their Foreign Editor, a world affairs columnist, and covered national politics from Ottawa. Nominated five times for the National Newspaper Award, he also received an Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada fellowship to research Islam in Indonesia, and won the Amnesty International Media Award for his coverage from Sudan.
He is a Senior Fellow at Toronto Metropolitan University, where he founded the Democracy Forum at TMU. He is also a Senior Fellow at the University of Toronto’s Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy, and has lectured for New York Times' Journeys across the Middle East. A native of Montreal, he studied economics at King’s College and Dalhousie University.

Join us for a one-hour guided tour of campus where old memories meet new beginnings. Reconnect with familiar places, see how campus has evolved, and take a walk down memory lane with your final stop at the TMU Library and Archives.
RTA School of Media Tour

Join a guided tour of TMU’s RTA School of Media studios and facilities—where creativity meets cutting-edge technology. Explore the spaces where today’s students bring stories to life and reconnect with the place that sparked your own media journey.
Department of Architecture Tour
2:00 p.m.
Join a guided tour of the School of Architecture’s state-of-the-art studios and learning spaces, and see firsthand where the next generation of city-builders are honing their craft. Before the tour, enjoy a small gathering with fellow alumni to reconnect and share stories.
Shop at TMU Campus Store
11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Take a piece of TMU home with you! The Campus Store is opening its doors for Alumni Reunion. Stop by to pick up blue and gold gear, clothing, and keepsakes to remember your reunion day.
