Dr. Eno Hysi

Dr. Eno Hysi conducted the first-in-the-world clinical trial exploring how photoacoustic imaging could assess the quality of donated kidneys before transplant, addressing a pressing problem in the treatment of renal disease. In 2020, Eno was TMU’s first graduate to receive the prestigious Banting Postdoctoral Fellowship, and he quickly marked another milestone as the John Charles Polanyi Prize in Physics winner in 2021. A biomedical physicist by training, he now directs the Translational Ultrasound and Photoacoustic Imaging Laboratory at St. Michael’s Hospital.
