About Adam Durie

I hold a Bachelor of Commerce in Global Management from TMU here in Toronto. I also obtained a Masters in Letters, International Business (with Merit) from University of St Andrews in Scotland.

I'm originally from Victoria, BC, where I started as a Bank teller at BMO. I progressed through the retail-level financial advisory roles (such as financial services manager, financial advisor) into leadership roles like Assistant Branch Manager and Branch Manager. After taking a year in Scotland to get my masters, I came back into the Financial Planner role. Now, more recently, I've started my own practice as a Wealth Advisor at Scota Mcleod.

About Laura Loughlin

I hold an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Psychology from McMaster University, as well as a postgraduate diploma in Human Resource Management from Sheridan College.

I began my career at the Bank of Nova Scotia in a front-line teller role and progressed through increasingly senior leadership positions, including Assistant Manager and Branch Manager.  This hands-on career path provided a strong foundation in retail banking, people leadership, and client service before I transitioned into Scotia Wealth Management.  Today I work in Private Banking, advising high-net-worth individuals and families.

Private Banking, at Scotia Wealth Management, offers a highly personalized, team-based approach to wealth management for high-net-worth clients.  Most people are aware of the simple lending options available in retail banking, such as mortgages and lines of credit and traditional investment portfolios.  In Wealth Management, we understand the complex needs of clients, differing types of income sources, and strategies to not only grow wealth, but grow in a tax efficient manner.

I look forward to meeting you and sharing more background and strategies used in Private Banking.
