Why Entrepreneurship Matters

Entrepreneurs are builders of the future. They challenge the status quo, create jobs, and design solutions that tackle pressing challenges — from advancing clean technologies to improving healthcare and building inclusive communities. Their work doesn’t just fuel economies; it shapes how we live, work, and connect with one another.

At Brampton Venture Zone by TMU (BVZ), we see this drive every day in the founders we support through the BVZ Launch Program (opens in new window)  and Brampton Innovator Program (opens in new window) . From groundbreaking health-tech ventures to early-stage founders taking their very first steps, BVZ is committed to supporting all innovators as we build Brampton into a thriving hub for tech startups. Since 2021, our flagship BVZ Launch program has incubated 47 startups (opens in new window)  — many of which have surpassed the critical two-year milestone and continue to scale successfully.

From World Entrepreneurship Day to BVX5

This year’s World Entrepreneurship Day holds special meaning as we look ahead to #BVX5 — Brampton’s largest tech and entrepreneurship event.

BVX has grown into more than just a conference. It’s a movement — bringing together entrepreneurs, investors, industry leaders, and community members who believe in the power of innovation. Over the past five years, BVX has:

  • Welcomed 3000+ attendees from across GTA who share a passion for tech and entrepreneurship.
