Toronto, ON  — Thursday, July 31, 2025 — The Legal Innovation Zone (LIZ) officially welcomes four ambitious new legal tech startups into its Incubate Program in their second cohort of 2025. These companies are bringing bold missions and tech-driven solutions to the legal space.

Through the LIZ’s cohort-based intake process, incoming founders are benefitting from ‘Launch Into the LIZ’, a new onboarding bootcamp. The program aims to help founders integrate into the incubator’s community, fully leverage the programming and resources available, and ultimately accelerate their company’s growth journey.

“We’re eager to continuously enhance the incubation experience of LIZ companies and that starts on day one. The ‘Launch into the LIZ’ program supports the development of individual founders, their startups, and enables a smoother transition into our vibrant incubator community. It’s all about setting these businesses up for success from the very beginning of their time with us.” - Dr. Sasha Saunders, Director of the Legal Innovation Zone

The selected new startups are tackling things from AI-driven legal analysis and compliance automation, to accessible family law agreements and trial prep simulation. And for the first time, one of them — Jointly — is participating fully remotely from British Columbia, as part of a new pilot for non-local founders.
