1. What year of study are you in?

I graduated from RTA Sport Media in 2020.

2. How will you be involved in the Olympics this year and what outlet will you be working with?

This will be my second Olympics at CBC. I'll be editing in the Digital Sports Hub where we produce daily digital Olympic content. Specifically, I'm working on a live show called The Extra Hour which streams daily on the CBC Sports website and social channels.

3. What are you most looking forward to?

I'm mostly looking forward to working in the Toronto office with my team. Recently, we've been working from home, so the energy of being in person with my team is really appealing, especially during the Olympics. During the Tokyo games our team kept spirits high during the overnight 10 hour shifts by playing office corn hole and throwing foam footballs to each other. I'm excited to bring that office culture back for Beijing!

4. How will your role at the Olympics relate to your program?

Video editing for a live sports show is basically a real world version of TV lab. A lot of the skills we learned in TV Lab and Editing Specialty are transferable to my everyday job. Side note, Editing Specialty is a great elective to take to learn some really useful Premiere Pro shortcuts and basic knowledge.

1. What year of study are you in?

I graduated from RTA Sport Media in June 2021.

2. How will you be involved in the Olympics this year and what outlet will you be working with?

I'll be working with CBC as an Associate Producer for the Indigenous hockey commentators.

3. What are you most looking forward to?

I think I'm most looking forward to just contributing to this massive operation of broadcasting the Olympic Games in Canada and growing from this experience. It's a great opportunity to not only be working on Olympic Games coverage, but also helping to get more Indigenous voices heard in the sporting community.

4. How will your role at the Olympics relate to your program?

My role at CBC Sports is in the sport media industry which directly relates to my program. I think my time in the Sport Media program has prepared me well for this role and future sport media roles as well.

1. What year of study are you in?

I graduated from Sport Media in 2021.

2. How will you be involved in the Olympics this year and what outlet will you be working with?

I am working as an Associate Producer for the Olympic Prime Time show at CBC.

3. What are you most looking forward to?

I am definitely looking forward to working with the people on my team. I am surrounded with a wealth of talent and experience, and I can't wait to see these people produce and tell awesome stories.

4. How will your role at the Olympics relate to your program?

I focused my time at Ryerson working within a live sports context, so this role really pairs well with the experience I gained in RTA. Specifically, I'll be working with producing content for the live show, so my time volunteering and working at Rams Live really set me up well to understand the role's responsibilities/ expectations.
