International Festival of Authors - Lit Jam 2018

February 21, 2018

Every year, the International Festival of Authors hosts a Lit Jam; an improvisation storytelling competition – creative writing groups from universities get together to create a story on the spot based on a one sentence prompt submitted by the public. On February 21, Ryerson’s Doran Brooks, Phil Johnston and Benson McDaniel went up against students from Guelph, Humber, and York.

The team showed up in coordinated outfits (a classic all black ensemble) and were ready to put on a show. They had the audience laughing the whole time, giving a great performance that landed them in second place! If it was based on energy and performance, the judges said Ryerson would have won.

Great job, team! Keep up the great work!
