The Department of English and White Wall Review are pleased to host a very special evening of literature and literary readings, featuring acclaimed writer Leanne Betasamosake Simpson, Canisia Lubrin ( Voodoo Hypothesis) and Grace O’Connell ( Be Ready for the Lightning). Issue 41 of White Wall Review will also be launched at this event. Leanne Betasomosake Simpson is the author of five books: As We Have Always Done, This Accident of Being Lost, Dancing on Our Turtle’s Back, The Gift Is In the Making, and Islands of Decolonial Love. Leanne holds a Ph.D. from the University of Manitoba and has lectured at universities across Canada. She is of Michi Saagiig Nishnaabeg ancestry and a member of Alderville First Nation.
